DAO Events at the London School of Economics

Co- hosted by Eva Micheler (LSE) and Kevin Werbach (Wharton School, UPenn)

As DAOs develop in scope and sophistication, they face questions of legal structuring, governance processes, treasury management, insolvency, and more. This workshop at the London School of Economics will bring together DAO participants and advisors with scholars of corporate law, corporate governance, and organizational theory, to consider the real-world challenges that DAOs face. Organized by Eva Micheler (LSE) and Kevin Werbach ( Wharton), it will seek to identify points of common ground and open questions for further maturation of DAOs. This roundtable on 26 June 2024 will be followed by a book workshop on 27 June 2024 for authors contributing to Foundations of Decentralized Organizations: Blockchain and the Future of Corporate Law (forthcoming from Oxford University Press.

Day 1 Practice and Theory Roundtable Wednesday June 26, 2024: Discussions the real-world challenges that DAOs face, and their connection to corporate governance and law. Followed by drinks reception at the end of this session.

Day 2 Author Workshop Thursday June 27, 2024 (all times GMT): Short presentations and Q&A with authors for Foundations of Decentralized Organizations (forthcoming from OUP).
