Disclosure of Tax Avoidance Schemes (DOTAS) 20 years on: Inside and out

On Wednesday 8th November Ray McCann, President of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (2018-19) will present his paper “Disclosure of Tax Avoidance Schemes (DOTAS) 20 years on: Inside and Out”

Ray is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and was President of the CIOT between 2018 and 2019. His past roles include senior positions in HMRC as well as director and partner with PwC and Pinsent Masons. He continues to act as a consultant at Joseph Hage Aaronson LLP. In this seminar, he will discuss his experience of working on the introduction of the UK’s DOTAS rules whilst at HMRC, and options for reform of the regime.

This event is part of the LSE Taxation Seminar series, which engages the wider tax community via a lively programme of events featuring academics, practitioners and policymakers working on topical issues in taxation.
