European Platform Regulation after Two Years
November 11, 2024 @ 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm
European platform regulation is two years old. The EU Digital Services Act was adopted in October 2022, and the UK’s Online Safety Act soon afterwards. The goal of the event is to reflect on the developments, associated wins and ongoing challenges, and to see whether ideas offered by the new book, Principles of the Digital Services Act (Oxford University Press, 2024) by Martin Husovec, can be of any help in improving European platform regulation.
Confirmed Speakers: Barbora Bukovska (Article 19), Anupam Chander (Georgetown University), Joris van Hoboken (University of Amsterdam), Daphne Keller (Stanford University), Matthias Kettemann (Hans-Bredow-Institute), Niva Elkin-Koren (Tel Aviv University), Martin Kretschmer (University of Glasgow), Irene Roche Laguna (European Commission), Sonia Livingstone (LSE), Andrew Murray (LSE), Benjamin Raue (University of Trier), Graham Smith (Bird & Bird), Damian Tambini (LSE), and Lorna Woods (University of Essex).
