LLB and BA Law & Anthropology Cumberland Lodge Residential Weekend
The annual Law School visit to Cumberland Lodge for LLB and BA Law & Anthropology students will take place from Friday 24 January to Sunday 26 January 2025. Cumberland Lodge is a Royal House set in the picturesque surroundings of the Great Park, Windsor. Every year, the Law School arranges a weekend away for staff and students, the purpose of which is to create an informal and friendly environment where issues related to the law can be discussed.
The trip is subsidised by the Law School, but each student who attends will be required to contribute a sum of £105.00. This price includes accommodation, food and transportation to and from Cumberland Lodge.
The discussions centre around a series of lectures given by a number of speakers, from the legal profession and academia. The lectures usually cover a diverse range of topics and disciplines, ranging from such things as international human rights and environmental protection to contemporary problems in company law and criminal justice reform. The programme is in the final stages of development and will be distributed shortly.
In addition to the lectures, you will have plenty of free time to get to know your fellow students, stroll the grounds or visit the local attractions. Attendees will also have an opportunity to attend Royal Chapel in Windsor Great Park on the Sunday of the visit.
