  • Popular Constitutionalism in an Age of Populism: Martin Loughlin and Larry Kramer in Conversation

    Public Lectures 

    Constitutionalism, especially the role of constitutional courts, faces political and academic challenges globally. In 2004, Larry Kramer’s book The People Themselves critiqued American constitutionalism and called for change. In this event, Kramer and Susanne Baer, a comparative constitutional law scholar and former German Constitutional Court Justice, discuss the relevance of his argument to today's challenges.
